Dog tags - Ordered from Mara Jades Father on the BSG costuming forums.
Prop Pistol - Painted and finished. Bought at Dragoncon.

Make pattern and cut fabric. I use a solid vinyl fabric instead of the much more expensive (but show accurate) Sommers Fabric. I purchased my fabric from 800 Fabrics for $11 a yard.
Finish belt, holster, and pouches.
Boots - Pilot boot (close to original nike Force Flight) - Bought at Kmart- Shaq brand. I tried forever to seam rip the embroidered logo out, but finally just cut a piece of leather and glued it over the logo. I then attached another cut piece of leather to give the nad across the front of the shoe. To finish, I am going to put in a zipper and strap across the top and back.

Duty Blues

My Duty Blues at the moment.

Helo in Duty Blues

The basic costume was purchased on Ebay from a company called Costumebay. I was interested in wearing this our and about at Conventions but I did't want to spend a lot of time making it. The costume straight from the company is well made, though the buttons were not attached very well. This did not bother me because I was planning on doing some modifications to make it more screen accurate.
Things already finished:
Belt - This is a standard piece of nylon belting from a fabric store and a plastic luggage clip painted with an antiqued silver.
Buttons - I ordered screen accurate buttons from Hushco Buttons 10036/32L. Added gold highlights and sewed them on.

To do:
Belt Loops - Make them thicker.
Sleeve cuffs - Make them a bit shorter and more screen accurate.
Split front pleat and hem the pants
Add blue suede over black fabric on shoulders.
